Danish omelet

Danish omelet is a very traditional Danish farmers dish. It's easy to prepare, the cost is low and it's very delicious!

4-5 servings

  • 8 large eggs
  • a 1/3 of a cup of milk
  • 2 tea spoons of flour
  • Salt & pepper

  • 6 medium thick slices of bacon
  • 1 tomato cut in thin slices
  • Chives

Crack the eggs into a bowl and whip them well. Stir flour and milk in a cup til it's even or use a shaker. Add the mix into the eggs and stir well. Add the salt and pebber to your taste.
Let the egg-mix rest while you fry the bacon on a large dry pan. When finished ou take the bacon off the pan and pour the eggmix onto the pan. Lower the heat to medium and leave the eggs to fry in the fat from the bacon until the mix has thickened.
Rinse and cut the tomato into slices, chop the chives with a sharp knife and cover the top of the omelet with bacon, tomato slices and chives and serve the omelet while real hot.
Serve the omelet with dark rye bread and cold butter.
