Daughter of a Danish Mother

The very first time I went to Denmark was when I was 5 years old with my Mom. It was the first time that I met all my cousins that lived there. I remember that everything was so beautiful and calm. I never thought I would go again. My Mom visited often since Grandma was there amoung my Aunt and cousins.
The next time I went with my sister and my daughter who was 4 at the time. It was mixed emotions since I had lost my mother a little over a year before. I stayed with my cousin in Copenhagen. My daughter loved everything about it. She rode her first train with older cousin while the grown-ups shopped. Then it was time to go to my Aunt's house. I had not seen her in a very long time. I was so happy to see her but then when she opened the door I was shocked. She looked so much like my Mom and dressed like she did as well. We had a great visit and I will never forget it. My daughter is named Kierstin after my Grandmother's middle name.
I would like to take the time to Thank you for having this site. I hope that one day my family and I can visit again. I want my son and husband to see what a great place it is.
